The 59Fifty style features the modern flat-bill cap design with the team’s logo on the front and the iconic MLB Batterman logo on the back. These fashionable and collectable baseball caps are a special style established by the New Era brand and are also affiliated with the Major League Baseball organization. We feature all current MLB teams and have limited stock, so be sure to grab your favorite teams before they run out!
A Little History About New Era
Founded by German immigrant, Ehrhardt Koch, in the 1920s, New Era started as a Gatsby-style cap provider for men, but evolved later when Koch’s son, Harold, joined the company in 1932 and started producing the timeless baseball cap when professional baseball in the States became popular by the day.
New Era’s first ever MLB baseball cap was for the Cleveland Indians in 1934 where only 16 MLB teams were registered at the time. By the 1950s, New Era was the only producer for baseball caps for professional teams and Harold Koch designed the ever-so-popular 59Fifty style that continues to be a trendy cap today. As the company grew, so did their inventory, and in the 1980s, New Era started adding college sports gear, International Baseball League caps, and more to give customers and fans premium headwear to don at sports games.
In 2010s, New Era expanded their production of on-field, sideline, and on-court sports hats to the other major sports organizations: the NFL and NBA. This helps expand the New Era line for other sports fans to enjoy official and authentic sports caps for their teams that they’re passionate about. We’re constantly stocking on sports hats because we know our customers love to support their favorite teams, so always check back for more.
